This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Blush Colored Early Edwardian Gown
From the seller:
An absolutely stunning wedding gown from about 1900-1905. Silk and lace. Made for a tall lady---not sure if it is designer or hand-made--no label. The majority of it's "problem areas" are in the lining, which is silk and it has completely shattered. The outside of the dress is in great condition, probably because it is raw silk (I assume) which is a much much stronger type of silk. although it is in great condition (aside from the lining), it is very delicate, naturally, it is 110 years old---so I would not recommend it being worn by anyone other than a mannequin. There are some splits here and there. an age spot and stain here and there, but nothing that jumps out at you---waist band of skirt may need some reinforcing, I recommend anything done be done by a professional. This displays beautifully.
Measurements 32 Bust 21 inch waist Hips allow for a lot of room. my mannequin is too large for the dress---for additional pictures or if you have any questions-- just message me :)
From Me:
I'm not going to say it is a wedding gown but I won't say it's not either. Contrary to popular belief - just like all white gowns are NOT wedding gowns, not all wedding gowns are/were white. I wish there were some close up pictures of the lace on this!
