Girl's Summer Dress

From the seller:

If you have a wedding, confirmation or special affair coming up and you have a young girl to dress for the occasion, this angelic confection is for you! Our exquisite antique bespoke gown for a girl was handmade in France. Dating to c1900, it is made of the finest quality silk organza. There are gorgeous, wide insets of embroidered whitework. Tightly gauged ruching at the yoke for fullness across the bodice, and also at the waist for fullness in the skirt. The yardage in the gown is generous, as you can see. The gown is shown with a double layer of tulle petticoats beneath, which are not included in the sale, but are very easy to acquire. There are tucks to the skirt, and matching cutwork inserts in the arms and the skirt. The back closure and the wrist cuffs have self-covered buttons and silk trim as loops for the buttons, just like on a bridal gown! Hand and machine stitched. Chest 30"; waist 25"; shoulder span across back 12"; sleeve length 22"; length from shoulder to hem 46". CONDITION: In very, very fine condition. All buttons are present and original. The fabric is near pristine, stable and strong enough for wear. Can be worn with complete confidence.

From Me:

I seriously doubt this is silk organza. I believe it is a cotton voile or something similar. I've also seen loops for buttons on many things other than bridal gowns - my coat for example.
