Blue Floral Teens Era Day Dress

From the seller:

1800s Floral Day Dress*Shawl Collar~Long Skirt~V Overskirt~Ruffles~Net Insert
Lovely Late 1800’s Early 1900’s Ladies Long Dress, Floral Pattern on a Navy Blue Background. Deep Vee Neckline, Shawl Collar with navy blue ruffle, Insert of a Creamy White Net type fabric embellished with a Red Velvet Ribbon. Elbow Length Sleeves trimmed in double row of navy ruffles. Floral overskirt is in a handkerchief style, longer at front and back, shorter at sides, It is approximately 14 ½” inches at the sides and comes down to about 32” forming the point at the front and the back, it’s also trimmed with a double row of ruffles. (approximately an inch or so of the front ruffle needs to be stitched where it has loosened.) Underskirt is solid navy in a longer length. The Waist has a Red Velvet Ribbon with a Bow in the back. The Dress opens at the front, the net insert snaps along the side, front opens a little below waist to slip over head, and crosses over a little, closing with snaps. There are so many snaps I’m not sure I have it closed correctly. Fabric is very sheer and stiff like organdy(?). Needs to be cleaned and pressed, I leave clothing as purchased. Overall Condition is Fair for her age, there are scattered holes throughout the dress, most significant are at the right underarm and along the side seam, (pictured) and several in the shawl collar and sleeves. (most are in the top of the dress) There are several others scattered throughout the dress, some are hard to find. The back seam of the Long Underskirt has come apart and has some fraying needs to be re-stitched and hem is pressed but not stitched. I believe this is a home sewn dress.

For Reference Mannequin is Size 7 ~ 35” ** 23” ** 36” and is 5’ 9” tall. Not Clipped on Mannequin
