This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Teens Era Night Gown
From the seller:
ANTIQUE NIGHTGOWN
Label: none
Featured in this auction is a cotton nightgown from the early 1900s...It has lace, embroidered flowers and hand work stitches that open the threads to make holes...There are finished holes around the necklace and empire waist for ribbons to thighten...A pink ribbon was found around the waist, but none for the neckline..In very good and wearable condition.
It doesn't have a size label, but fits a size large...These measurements are taken flat with a flexible measuring tape...You have to be smaller than the measurements to allow room for ease:
Bust: 44 inches
Hip: 58 inches
Length from shoulder: 57 inches
From Me:
This is actually from the Teens Era. Nice, simple, with a bit of decoration - I sort of want to wear this as my nightgown...
