Early Edwardian Summer Dress

From the seller:

This beautiful Victorian 2pc gown is made from a cream silk. The bodice has a cotton underbodice that hooks down the front, lace hooks across the front. The sleeves are trimmed with wide bands of piping and it has piping around the waist. The lace insert, yoke and collar have narrow bands of silk ribbon held to the lace with a fagot stitch in ivory silk and it has a lovely sheer collar with hand embroidery and a lace ruffle (the lace collar looks like it's eariler more like 1860's so it may have been salvaged from an earlier dress). The silk ribbon that is between the lace is starting to split in places, the silk that is backing the lace needs to be replaced, it needs repairs on the shoulder/neck as well, it has very light underarm stains, cotton under bodice has a few small holes and a little foxing. It measures 36 inches, waist is 33 (some darts were removed from the cotton under bodice), across the back shoulder is 12 3/4 inches and it's 20 1/2 inches long in back and just below the waist in the back. The skirt has a yoke made from the wide piping, it hooks and snaps down the back, the skirt is full and falls into a train. The skirt has a few light small spots. and a 3 inch mend in front a little under the bottom row of piping below the waist. There's a separate piece of trim that is loose from the dress, I think it belongs at the waist of the blouse in back. It measures 25 3/4 inchws around the waist, hips are full, it's 42 inches long in front and 51 inches long in back.

From Me:

I was thinking of saving this one for Miss Ginsie's Birthday on the 14th (I'm told there is another holiday that day, but my puppy dog is turning 10 this year so that's what I'll be happily celebrating!) but I already have umm...nine? Maybe 10? for that day that have been drafted so...yeah. It gets posted early!
