This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Men's Regency Coat
From the seller:
Extremely rare menswear from the early 1800s. Fantastic olive green boiled wool jacket with printed silk lining. Circa 1820. M shaped notch in lapel indicates age. Double breasted at waist, silk covered buttons on either side up to neckline to button from either side. Missing one button above waist, wear to lowest buttons...buttons hidden by lapels are in great shape! Missing buttons at sleeve cuffs. Lined in a gorgeous cotton, tails lined in a deep olive green silk. Some overall wear, a few moth holes.....interior lining needs re-sewn at some seams, left to purchaser to restore as they see fit. A few tears in lining of tails. Very solid and wearable condition.
16" shoulders, 39" chest, 30" waist, 39" long to tails, 19" long to waist, 27" sleeves
From Me:
I swear, this looks like it came straight out of a fashion plate from 1826!
