This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Beautiful Lace Teens Era Dress
From the seller:
Beautiful Antique, Edwardian Fancy Dress or Gown made of ivory netting and lace.
Not sure of the exact year that this dress was made,
I am no expert on vintage clothing so I will describe it the best I can.
Dress has lace and tuck inserts and large embroidered flowers.
The main fabric is netting.
Skirt has 10" tucks in the netting from the waist down.
Tucks go all the way around, from the front to the back.
Dress button's down the back with small vintage buttons.
I believe the dress may be made of silk .... It feels like vintage Silk.
Dress is handmade with a hand sewn-in tag that reads:
"17909 Wed."
Ink does not go through to the dress.
There are a few issues with the dress:
Cummerbund has a small hole. (see pic)
The buttonholes need a little tightening up as some of the buttons slip out easily.
There is some discoloration and a few stains on the netting due
to it's age or from being is storage for years.
Dress is not as bright as in the photos ~ more of a darker ivory color.
Leaving the cleaning of the dress up to it's new owner.
Otherwise, the dress is in good, vintage condition.
Dress is probably meant to be worn over an under dress.
Fits my Mannequin who's measurements are as follows:
34" - 24 1/2" - 34"
Flat measurements are as follows:
Armpit to Armpit: 16"
Waist: 13"
Length in the back from neckline to bottom of the dress: 51"
A beautiful example of fashion from a by gone era that would display well in anyone's collection!
Selling as is, as found, just like you would buy it at an estate sale.
Photos should be considered as part of the description, so view them for details and condition.
Also, ask any questions before you bid as all sales are final!
From Me:
I love these net dresses. They just look nice and summery.
