This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Sweet 1920's Dress
From the seller:
This exquisite vintage white embroidered net filet lace drop waist dress and slip dates from the 1920s. It is hand stitched, made of a white sheer crochet net with a decorative woven embroidered design, floral raised padded satin stitch, French knot embroidery work and filet lace trim. This fabulous fancy lace drop waist dress is loose fitting, sleeveless, with a squared neckline and snaps on the back for closure. It is sheer and unlined. The dress is a large size measuring 46 inches long, with 40 inch hips, waist and bust. Included is a off white cream color sheer silk chiffon slip, with embroidered, lace trim around the top, net shoulder straps and a scalloped hemline. The slip measures 45 inches long, with 42 inch hips, a 38 inch waist and bust. The dress is in excellent clean wearable condition and the slip has a few faint water spot stains on the back. This is truly a rare and exceptional piece of wearable antique lace art!
From Me:
I swear, I have a tablecloth that looks like this. However, I do love the overall design. The embroidery is extraordinary!
